Good G. Farm
Good grapes grown on good ground in Gangjin
| There is a representative celadon kiln site that represents the history of pottery in the Goryeo
Dynasty, and it is the place where the life and significant achievements of Dasan Jeong Yakyong,
a scholar who practiced academic reform and openness during the late Chosun period, began and
accumulated. It is also the birthplace of Yeongrang, Kim Yun-sik, a lyric poet who expressed the
dialect of the southern region with musicality and is a patriotic poet who never wrote a single
pro-Japanese sentence, as well as a representative lyric poet of our country. In Gangjin, where
the fragrance of culture blooms deeply, excellent grapes are born from good soil. For a long time, the virtuous scholars who were respected have been cultivating and refining the Manyeon Village in Doam-myeon, Gangjin-gun. They are now making great strides in establishing grape farms. Starting as "Good G. Farm," the name combines the English word for grape and the English spelling of Gangjin, representing the meaning of excellent grapes born from good soil. This startup aims to provide the dignified individuals with high-quality grapes from Gangjin. “Good Grapes Grown on Good Ground in Gangjin!” |
| After tirelessly engaging in market exploration and business development, traveling to over 60 countries around the world for export purposes, Patrick Cheong retired for this new business. Located in a place surrounded by Wolchul Mountain and Jujak Mountain, his father's hometown, Gangjin is characterized by the deep penetration of the sea into the inland. Captivated by its beauty and the premium grapes it produces, he decided to return to Gangjin and learn about grape cultivation and began cultivating his own farm now. |
| We begin with the creation of a pleasant farm spanning a total area of 7,000m2, equipped with
clean and hygienic workspaces for post-harvest operations and office facilities. Starting from
the crucial task of building optimal soil for grape cultivation, we have cleared and developed
the farmland situated in a gently rolling area with abundant sunlight and well-ventilated winds
at an appropriate height. The farm is being established under the ideal conditions for producing
excellent grapes. Recognizing that premium grapes are a representative trade surplus item, we are devoted to research and efforts to go beyond limited export markets and expand into regions including the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas to realize our plans. |
